Indonesian Scout


Indonesia Scout Movement is the name of educational organization that organizes non-formal education is conducted in Indonesia scouting. The word "Scout" is an abbreviation of the Praja Muda Karana, which means that the Young People Like Working.


"Scout" is a term for members of the Scout Movement, which includes; Scouts Standby (7-10 years), Penggalang Scouts (11-15 years), Scouts Enforcement (16-20 years) and Pandega Scouts (21-25 years). Other members of the group Scoutmaster, Mainstay Scouts, Boy Scouts Corps Training, Civil Saka Scouts, and Council of Advisors Staff Kwartir Scouts.
While the definition of "Scouting" is the process of education outside the school environment and outside the family in the form of exciting activities, fun, healthy, organized, directed, performed practically in the open with the Basic Principles and Methods of Scouting Scouting, the goal ultimately the formation of character , morals and noble character. Scouting Scouting is education system tailored to the circumstances, the interests and development of society and the nation of Indonesia.
Scouting purposes
Scouting Scouting Indonesia as education providers who are part of national education, aims to nurture young people in achieving full spiritual potential, social, intellectual and physical, their caretaker bias:

  1.     Form, personality and noble character of young people
  2.     Inculcate the spirit of nationalism, patriotism and defending the country for young people
  3.     Improve the skills of young people so ready to become a useful member of society, patriot and a formidable fighter, and become future leaders that are reliable in the future.
Basic principles of Scouting
Scout Movement based on the basic principles as follows:
  1.     Faith and piety to God Almighty
  2.     Care for the nation and homeland, fellow life and nature
  3.     Care for her personal
  4.     Obey the Scout Code of Honor
Scouting Methods
Scouting is a method of progressive interactive learning through:
  1.     Scouts Honor Code of practice
  2.     Learning by doing activities that are fun or entertaining
  3.     Clustered systems
  4.     And challenging activities that increase and contain an appropriate education with spiritual and physical development of students
  5.     Outdoor activities
  6.     System proficiency mark
  7.     System of units separately for sons and daughters
  8.     Basic figurative
Nature
The symbol of the Scout Movement (according to the Statutes and Bylaws) is Tunas Coconut, worn on the left collar shirt Scouts and WAGGGS emblem worn on the right collar shirt girl scout. As for the son, Scout emblem worn on the left pocket, while the symbol of WOSM on the right shirt pocket. Emblem location of the Scout Movement (by province) worn on the right sleeve Scout shirt.
Based on the resolution of the World Scout Conference 1924 in Copenhagen, Denmark, the scouting has three properties or characteristics, namely:
  1.     National, which means an organization which organizes scouting in a country that education must adapt to the circumstances, needs and interests of the community, nation and state.
  2.     International, which means that the scouting organization in any country in the world should foster and develop a sense of brotherhood and camaraderie among fellow Scout and his fellow man, regardless of their faith / religion, class, level, race and nation.
  3.     Universal, which means that scouting can be used anywhere to educate the children of any nation
